Although we have now successfully outsourced our polyurethane foaming work, we have many years of experience and expertise in this field. Polyurethane foaming is used to produce unique insulating materials by mixing polyhydric alcohol and isocyanates, which expand when they react. The result is a low-density material with excellent insulating properties. This insulation can be applied to a wide selection of components, in the form of ordinary hard polyurethane foam or our own flexible foam, Flexpur. Unlike ordinary polyurethane foam, Flexpur remains soft and bendable after the chemical reaction between the polyhydric alcohol and the isocyanates. For this reason, Flexpur can be used to insulate moving parts from cold and heat alike – making it perfect for use under the hood.
